hey,
recently i went out to get myself a new boot, i went to my local shop and they were having a deal on boots, you pay a certain price, depending on what boot you choose, then you rent them for a season if you like em then you pay 100 bucks and there yours, nice deal i say.
i want to step into a better boot, i am running with tecnica entryx2 boots, they have been a good pair of boots, fairly comfortable and warm, but i want to upgrade into something more ADVANCED persay something with a canting system and fully adjustable straps all the way up and down the boot, as well as a ski hard/soft option (dont know exactly what those are called, let me know if you do) what is good to look at, for next year

well trencher this is partially true, i want to dabble in it, but for the posts i had earlier, it was basically a question stemming from a yard sale incident i had in which i shot off of a plateau in the trail, and wasn't able to land properly, i am very weary of me trying any freestyle stuff, as my knees and my achiles are not in the shape they used to be when i played sports in HS, i wanted to get into more racing type skiing, you know , pushing the envelope a little and taking my self with my elbows right on the snow, along with fresh powder skiing if i could ever get back out to Colorado out there once when i was 8 i vaguely remember it.
always will, thats how i learned, thats how ill do it

So what types of skiing do you want to do in your new boots. You sounded in other posts as if you wanted to do some free style, IN which case a softer boot (like the ones you have is supposed to be best. Boots are like skis in terms of performance, in that you can hinder your progress if you go to an expert boot too soon.

Try on some boots in a local store. then look at some thing like this.

Intermediate, thermofit liner, mid flex type boot
At these prices you could afford to make a mistake.
Read all the stuff on boot fit from previous threads.
If you want to drag your elbows in the snow - get a snowboard

thanks for the help trencher, ebay is a fairly good reference point for stuff like that, but like i said about the ski shop i got my boots from, that seems to be the best option as they are real professional about everything, but as for the snowboard comment, i have tried snowboarding, not really a big fan of the whole thing, something about both feet strapped into one board, kind knocks me around, plus ive tried and i tried and i broke my wrist
so ill stick with the skis
so ill stick with the skis
