:Dhi,
i hope you have not booked up for a skiing holiday in Cheveuges, from what i can make out Cheveuges is in the Ardennes region of france on the border with Belgium.

The nearest resort for skiing is Vielsam Baraque Fraiture in Belgium about 90.5km away, the other resorts are located 50km south of Strasbourg some 200 - 230+km away.

many regards
jon.

Thanks for the reply jon!

I haven't booked anything but was wondering what was handy there. My wife and I met a really nice couple from Cheveuges this past summer at Peggy's Cove (http://www.peggyscovewebcam.ca/live/) while they were visiting in Nova Scotia.
As you can see I'm not too clued in to where the resorts are in Europe .

I really appreciate your input

:Dhi,
i must admit i had never heard of Cheveuges(mind you all my experience of france has been the Tarentaise area) so had to look on my old Route 66 Europe software and input ski resorts, and then sift through all the ski resorts in europe until one came up nearest to Cheveuges.

From what i have seen from photo's and t.v documentaries over the years the Ardennes region has wonderfull countryside, and is very scenic.

Sorry i could not give you more info,
many regards
jon.

Thanks again jon!

These people we met at the tourist destination (Peggy's Cove) in Nova Scota mailed a note to me on Jan 21 from France which arrived here on Jan 29. It would take two or three times as long to mail a letter to a neighbour across the street :!: Searching their address on the google satellite maps it seems the area of Cheveuges is an agricultural region and no doubt scenic. Equally so, without hills the skiing must be mostly cross country.

Thanks jon,- you did provide lots of info!
