I saw on the fischer site:
"Called the "category killer" for its light weight, stability, and versatility, the Watea 84 is the perfect mid fat ski for the advanced to expert adventure seeker. I-Beam technology, sidewall construction, and the perfect waist width for a mountain of options…explore yours."
and on a graph from 1 to 10 they mark these as suitable for level 6 to 9.

Here you go ......

I think this site isn't representative of these skis.
I looked it up on youtube and on other sites by googling "watea 84 2010" and all of them state these to be an advanced level skis.

does 574usd with x11 binding plus shippment sound like a good deal?

On that site I gave you I think they were priced at 900usd, your skis if you buy them will be slightly cheaper than my whole three person January holiday, I like to keep things in prospective.
What level of skier are you ??

According to two skill charts I'm an advanced skier.

That does put things in prospective, but I guess non of the three persons has to rent skis, right? :)

I think according to this one I'm level 7.

and this one bandit suggested:
http://www.snowandrock.com/ski-ski-buying-guide/content/fcp-content

Dotan, the Watea's are a good ski for all mountain use, they get good reviews.
I also think you should take a look at these:
