How did they film that? It looks as though he was doing the Artic man getting pulled along

Holding the camera in his hand... probably mounted to something like a ski pole grip.

Yeah i think it was something similar to a helmet cam, I'm not exactly sure how they mounted it but as pabs said either ski pole or wrist

EDIT: Just found out that they use a 5DMKII ( which is about a 3 lbs cam! ) , and mounted it to a skydiving helmet and held that, Genius !

Well, I have managed to get hold of an Aldi helmet cam, £49. (Same price as my new Volkls!) It is manufactured by Oregon Scientific, so is a good make. Hopefully, it will do the job.

Now, how do I attach it to a woolly hat.........

Start wearing goggles and attach it to the goggle strap. Besides, everyone knows that goggles are better suited to all conditions than sunnies....

I never wear googles, I always feel restricted with them. I could wear the goggles back to front over the woolly, if that will work. If all else fails, I could wear the helmet, it is still in it's box, in N.

Just heard yesterday, that a gliding friend of my New Zealand ski buddy, will be joining us in N. And that ~ he is a world famous mountain film producer. I await confirmation of that. If that does happen, I will be removing my £49 price tag! - )

That's it Wanderer, that's what I want to do. How did you hold the digi camera?
Its not a patch on the other powder one - wow, I would so love to be able to ski like that :x

Glad you liked my effort Dave. It was really simple - held my poles in one hand and held the camera in my other hand facing forward and, as best I could, level as I attempted to ski the slalom course at a reasonably fast pace
