Brides-les-Baines Gondola Access

Hi,

A couple of queries as Brides les Baines looks a cheap option for 2008.

Is it possible to ski back to Brides, or do you have to take the Gondola back down, and how long does the trip take?

On another tack, what are the restaurants/bars like? I have heard thaht there isn't much in the way of nightlife, but give us a couple of bars and restaurants and we will be happy.

We stayed in Brides Les Baines a few years ago. The town is ok with restaurants and bars but the only bad thing was that the last bubble down was 6 ish so if you wanted to have a apres ski few beers in meribel, the time you have is resticted otherwise its a taxi back down the mountain.

Re: timings - I think it took about 20 - 25 mins from Brides Les Bains to Meribel (stop at a few villages on the way).
