Hi, I will be arriving in La Plagne early afternoon and would hope to be on slopes by about 2pm so would like to get a couple hours in on a run or two to test gear etc.

Dont want to pay the extra for a whole day pass so was wondering like some resorts if there was a free lift operating wich gives a couple of seperate pistes?

If so, any info would be great :-)

:Dhi,not entirely sure about La Plagne as i ski the Les Arcs side, but if you can get hold of a La Plagne piste map before you go or from the lift ofice when you get there the free lifts will be marked as"des ramontes gratuit" (a little unsure about the spelling though sorry).
best of luck and have a safe enjoyable trip.

I don't remember seeing any free lifts either. However, the last time I was there, I was early, and the lift pass office told me that by buying a weekly ticket beginning the next day, I could ski that afternoon "gratuit" :D :D

Maybe worth an email to the Tourist Office to find out for sure?

Not surprising though, they'll be on the nursery slope so you'll not be using them as a norm. I can't really speak for La Plagne but most stations have them and the tourist office will certainly know.

Actually, I was told in english, that the pass was valid for all lifts in resort, so I understood that to be all slopes.
I was really impressed at the time, because I also got a 5% pass discount through my rental agency :D
