Are you a racer?

No, unfortunately not!!
I've had a pair of Atomic GS9's for a few weeks (on snow)and like them a lot. However, I want something quicker and more for short - medium turns rather than medium -long turns.
As I always go for Atomic gear they seem a sensible option, especially as they are suppoesed to be a bit more flexible than the previous version.
Just wondered what anyone thought.

Not tried them but heard quite alot and they are quite "hardcore" skis if you like, unless you ski gates you could probably get something more suitable! What are your skiing preferences on piste off piste green pitse black piste etc, and I'll let you know what i think! :?:

Preferences are for skiing reds at full tilt and the occasional black.
Ski 2-3 times a year and have now been skking for nearly 30 years.

I have a pair which I have used in all sorts of conditions. They are not for soft to the knee snow conditions. In eastern USA ski runs they are like Porsche 911. Very responsive and fast. You do not have to be racer to ski them, however you must like speed and "feather-touch" control!
My favorite skis beside Head SL world Cup and Fischer SL world Cup!
Get some!

Thanks for that Pavelski.
I may well invest at the end of the season as I don't intend paying full whack!
One question though - are they easy enough to use, or are they particularly hard to control?

If you have basic effective modern skiing style they are NOT difficult to ride,,,however you must at all times be "on top of them"!
That means you must remain in the sweet spot. Do not lean back or be late for your turns.
If you send me your email I can give you their "cost" price!
