I am fortunate enough to be working in Canada for two years, arriving in late November last year at the start of a season with record breaking snowfall at Sunshine and Lake Louise.

I am a bit concerned that this year might not live up to last year as its currently mid 20 degrees C in Medicine Hat where I am working and I am pretty sure that by this stage of the year it has been routinely below freezing and there should have been some snow here.

So, I am after some local feedback. Does this unseasonaly warm weather mean that when winter does arrive its going to be colder or warmer than normal.

Cheers

Medicine Hat is effectivley in the shadow of the rockies. So effectivley the snow is dropped over the rockies and virtually none falls east of there. Not to worry!! That is why you get 30 feet of snow in Sunshine and half that in lake louise! But yeh i'm going to do a season in Banff this year and we're in for a good season especially as its la nina year.
