I don't know - the one time I went to Neiderau, I arrived late evening (and there was no snow anyhow).

It does seem likley, since other Kitzbuheler Alpen areas are similar in that respect, but the only way to find out for sure is to ask at the tickt office, unless you can find somebody who has done it before in that area.

For some reason, they don't seem to publicize this nice feature.

It is the same in Niederau, you get to ski after 3.00pm. By the time you get checked in, eat, change, sort out your ski gear, and buy your pass, it may be after 2.30 anyway. In that case, don't buy on the bus.

prob arrive the same time then, haha!

a couple of the lads are renting gear so will be picking that up but I'd be very keen to get a few runs in on Saturday (expecting sunny conditions and a bit of snow the day before I think) though knowing them prob after 3...

thanks for the info though, that'll def come in handy

Proper dump of snow overnight here. Just gonna haul my lazy arse into some ski pants and go boarding.

Still snowing but has calmed down a bit and visibility looks acceptable.

Just to be clear, although it is a general situation that a lift pass is operational from 3pm prior to the actual booked date, equipment hire will only generally operate from 4.00pm.

So be in the hire shop 15 min early to fill out the paperwork!

Thought you guys might be amused to hear that we are actually marooned in Niederau. Over 100 trees and avalanches blocked the main road since Saturday night. 5 power cuts so far. They are not even working on the road to Hopfgarten and all efforts going into getting the road to Wörgl open.....but awaiting more updates at 3pm.

Kids are missing school, and I am missing work.....but the powder skiing is good :-)

Not good! I hope they get that sorted soon for you, but I'm sure the skiing is great!!!

They will get it sorted, but apparently quick as they clear the trees - more fall. So they also need to clear the "dodgy" stuff anywhere near the road. Sounds like quite a game!!!
