If you have read the previous "sin" messages you will adore this one!
I do not wish to be a "moralist" about this topic, but it seems to me that skiing is all about,,,,SKIING! Thus form must follow function! In the skiing context all ski equipment should be bought to make the skiing experience more enjoyable.
If you accept this premise then you will accept that this case is truly the really really most outrageous ski sin of all!
I know all men will agree! ( at the risk of starting another "discussion") however women skiers will be tempted.....
Let us see!
Just finished reading an article in the local newspaper and headline was, " Fanny leads pack". written by Karen Hahn.
Seems Louis Vuiton ( ha that name sends shivers down some spines) is selling for this next ski season a fanny pack for just $3,000! Seems,,,, according to author this fanny pack was tested in the best runways in Milan and Rome. It blends in well with the new 2008 designs. It actually has "adjustable" strap for even size 00!
It is the very best pack for the "yummy mummy".
Now ladies if you ever want to be laughed off the ski center just buy yourselves this fanny pack!
It truly would be the most outrageous ski sin if you also had rear entry boots, bamboo poles and rental skis!
Can anyone top this?

I can't really top this but I did see a snowboarder on the weekend who had shiny gold buckles on her bindings and earrings to match!
You may also find it amusing to know that 'fanny' means something very different in Australia than in North America. (Only females have one.)

Greenskier,
I guess I was very close to a real sin in mentioning the "fanny" pack! You can appreciate "cultural" differences!
The issue is that skiing is fun in sometimes "harsh" climate, thus the function of the ski gear is so much more important than "status" function!
In some centers they ask you to wear this pack on front ( like you do) since many skiers have had the pack "catch" on ski lifts.
The earing and buckle is a new one!
Such is the life and taste !
