hi every one i am not sure if i can take the j2ski snow reports any longer , just days ago i was reasuring someone its going to be ok ,but now every things changed i have become obsessed with snow or the lack of it , its snow breakfast ,lunch ,tea ,do you think its worth the torture,why do j2ski put up forecast for 7 days and after 24 hrs its all changed, if its that changable i will take it as i find it when we get there, :lol: happy again now

Sorry tomski - it sounds like you have forecastitis. There are quite a few fellow sufferers (me included) who frequent this site (and any other site that contains a mere mention of a snow report).
I suffered particularly badly in January prior to heading off to the Portes du Soleil - when there was no snow. I looked almost hourly to see if things were likely to change :( This irritating condition did get a little better after my return.
I'm off to La Plagne for a short break next week, so my symptoms have returned slightly, although things look much better than they did in January. My main worry now is that the car hire company at Grenoble airport say that they don't do snow chain hire unless you rent a 4WD. Has anyone got any useful advice on this? (I don't want a 4WD).
The best bet tomski is as you say - take it as you find it!!!! (Where are you going by the way)?

hi salski thanks 4 the reply ,were off to soldeu andorra sunday 4th, its nice to think im not the only snowaholic,we went to alpe d huez last year had a gr8 time landed at grenoble smallest airport we ever been to,a short story, when we were leaving the hotel in alpe d huez there was a couple geting ready to drive to airport in hire car (not 4 wd) and the guy had put his snow chains on the night before to save time i guess , as they loaded the bags into car( the women with her nose in the air)said you lot will have to move ,we were waiting with cases for the coach in the entrance ,so we all moved there was a good 30 cm snow on the ground ,the guy started the car put it in gear , and nothing chains on wrong wheels , we had to wait another hour for the bus and that poor guy was changing his chains on his hands & knees with madam giving it verb ,not trying to put you off, hope you have a good trip
