Is there anyone on here that has travelled by Eurostar since the no alcohol ban kicked in on 1 Jan on the over night service?

Yes, Friday's overnight service was quiet, no drunk people walking through the carriage at 2am. While I miss a nice bottle of red with our food, it was a better experience than previously.
Managed to get my hip flask through.

Hurrah! Thanks Andy. So where did you hide the hip flask (question from Mr Nelly) and was the bar open in the departure lounge?

Not that I AM an alcoholic, but like you I will miss my wine and will probably spend the whole night wide awake. I imagine it will be much more civilised but I've only ever seen bad behaviour on one over night train to be honest.

Anyway, cheers for that. 16 sleeps!

Hip flask was tucked away inbetween my ski boots. They are only trying to stop you bringing drinks that you intend to drink enroute.
The bar was open in departures.
The problem was more the constant flow of people though the train returning from the bar.

Worth a go I suppose.

Assume the constant flow of people going to the bar was for their mixers :)
