I always thought and I can't remember where I got that thought from that reds were graded slightly harder in Austria, now before all you Anglo Austrians start getting hot under the collar, it is only a question. 8) 8)

Oh, Wickers, I do forward to your Niederau visit. The runs are so easy here. Just as long as you promise to wait for me at the bottom.

More seriously, I am just sharing one of my favourite runs, in what is really, my second home. I did want to put on some photos, but the video seemed to be better.

As for the comments about piste difficulty comparison, run difficulty carries many factors. Steepness seems to be a main factor. But you need to think about temperature, now and recent, under surface condition, piste width, camber, direction change, recent conditions, potential risk obstacles, near risks, all sublimated by local perception of run value.

No skier should ever say that a particular run is easy, just because they have experienced good conditions at the time.

This is Tennladen, a part of Austian history, but I would love to look at other skier's run videos.

The video takes three minutes for half of the run. I would expect that Wickers, TonyH and I would be at the bottom within four minutes on an average day, three minutes on a good quality day.

I believe that this run was used at last years FIS international downhill. Topskiers were down in two minutes.

I don't know you boys " Alpha Males" it sometimes is not about the speed you hurtle yourself down the mountain it is about the scenery and beauty on the way down 8)
