It's August Bank Holiday today, and I'm wearing a fleece in the house..... with a T shirt underneath.....and long trousers. Not had to water the garden this summer, and my 2x220 litre garden water butts are full up. The leaves are already falling from the trees. The overly cheerful weather woman on TV yesterday announced highs of 18c  Possibly the worst aspect of this summer is the grey skies. So it would seem that this side of the pond we will slip into an autumn, which will look remarkably like summer.
Sounds perfect to me. As a whitewater kayaker, the more rain the better. Though ofcourse, in England/wales it doesn't help much as the rivers are privatly owned and closed to canoeing most of the year anyway. Here, the rivers and lakes are free passage for anyone, but for last several years we have had dry summers and the good water has gone by July.

Was going out for a long walk along the beach, its pouring with rain again, so I cant be bothered. Over the last two days leaves are falling off the trees, I think of it as Autumn already.
I love that weather when you can wear shorts and a sweater, my favourite part of autumn. I keep wearing shorts till my knees turn blue (though the sandals get replaced by socks and shoes befor that happens).
