Anyway back on point, I've been skiing to Meribel already this season and have just had an offer accepted on a house. BUT one of my friends is doing a season in LDA and can get me free accomodation and a free transfer. Flights are £100 return.

Question is, should I be sensible and save the money for the house or do i go and think what the hell you only live once! :)

Very simple answer here. Go. Its £100, almost throwaway money.

1st prize is relentless ridicule,
2nd prize is a forensic analysis of your lunch costs,
3rd prize is a free copy of the "948 reasons not to go to that resort" checklist...

You can have 2nd prize...

LOL, he already has Ally to do that :)

At last! An easy way of comparing ski holiday value...

You simply have to ask; "would you like to go skiing for a week, or have 60 rolls of woodchip wallpaper?" ...

Shouldn't that be 100 rolls of woodchip wallpaper? I thought we'd pretty much established that it costs at least £1,000 per person to go ski-ing/boarding for a week if you include everything ...

I may be wrong Andy, but I think Admin was talking about the rest of us when he said a week's ski-ing costs 60 rolls of wood chip wallpaper. I mean, it's only going to cost Blackpool-skier 10 rolls of that lovely wallpaper, because she's getting free transfers and free accommodation :)

Mind you, I'm not sure what she's going to do for food and her lift pass. Maybe the accommodation includes food and she's going 'ski touring' or whatever you call it when you hike up the mountain and don't bother using the ski lifts ... ;)

Oh, thanks for clearing that up for me! :)

Sorry about that, I get very confused about whether people are male or female on this forum ...

I hope your lift pass and your food won't cost you too many rolls of wallpaper ;)

And I hope you have a great time! :)
