Wickers, mate, sometimes its hard to tell with you if you're being serious or not. I know you're pretty anti Austria to start with, and the joking about the food that looks like rubbish is all good banter.
But seriously.....st Anton is a Top class resort with fantastic skiing for good skiers. Yes it gets busy in places, and I know you injured your knee while we were there so you didn't get to see anywhere near enough of the area, and I know you're not a big one for venturing off the pistes, but I've had some of my best skiing in st Anton and round the corner at zurs.
Stuben is also one of my favourite little individual areas but I don't think you managed to get round there, although I think Mrs W came for a blast with us while you were nursing your injury.
Yes the resort PR does give it the big one about how good it is, and while we were chilling in our all in hotel in st christoph, a lot of people were having a big one every night in some absolutely banging bars and clubs in the town, which let me assure you from a previous visit really is a lively and great night out, provided you've got deep pockets of course, but hey that's skiing resorts generally for you.
Now, if anyone asks about top quality skiing, off piste, steep runs, great nightlife etc, st Anton is right up there. It might not have been your cup of tea. I know other friends who came on the same trip said they didn't think it was much good in st Anton, but that was probably because the slopes were generally too difficult for them and they werent able to benefit from such a fabulous ski area. I'm sure your injury caused you to see the place in a somewhat negative light but I might be wrong.
