It's all part of the essential nature of what we love, and where it happens. The snow will always come to the mountains, it's just the where and when that varies.
Looks like being very cold through the next week, so pretty much everywhere will now have a good base. With some promising snow dialling in to the forecast in the New Year to keep things fresh, it does look like the season's properly underway now.
Be prepared. Roll with what you've got... and all the trials are swiftly forgotten when the skis hit the snow.
