I like the the fact that it would be good for building ski muscles. Might purchase purely for post knee injury pre ski training.

They were at the ski show last year and looks like they will be there this year. I have thought about making my own out of Lego but I think my daughter may have issues with that :-)

Looks like something that will end up in next years yard sale. You'd be better off joining a running club in the off season to improve your fitness.

'Sadly' I have been advised not to run after my acl reconstruction last year, however I do have a bike.
Am going to the ski show next weekend so will have a look for them.

Biking is awesome exercise and I would place it the same group as what Warren Miller calls "freedom sports"' which include sking, snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding, amongst others. They all have that sense of indiviual effort and movement, wind in your face coupled with the excitement and bit of that adrenalin rush we skiers all live for!
I had a full tear of my ACL more than 20 years ago and today still charge the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies (where I live), with my 20something kids. Skiing is better, but biking is GREAT! Season is about a month away, can't wait!
