Looking for advice. Need to buy new helmet. Anyone got experience of helmets with integral visors. I need to wear prescription glasses or sunglasses and find these can fog up under goggles. Think a visor would prevent this, but wondering about the downside of visors (if any). Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

You've got to be able to carry off the "I'm a fighter pilot" look. 8)

I'd like to try one for the same reasons as you, but I do wonder if they protect your eyes/face from the wind/cold as well as goggles? Anyone tried one?

Hi Ncouse,

I've struggled with prescription glasses under goggles for years.
I got myself Bolle Slide Visor ski helmet with an integrated visor for a January ski trip to Cortina. I could not be happier with results. The visor did not mist and enabled much wider peripheral vision. I do recommend a helmet with a visor:)

I'd be making sure the visor is easily replaceable and the costs involved for different tints.

My Bolle Slide Visor sourced directly from France came with 2 easily replaceable visors: one for sunny and the other for cloudy conditions:)

Contact lenses are a far more sensible option.
