We have finally made a decision on our groups destination.
As some of you may remember we decided on a resort close to Turin and decided to opt for Sauze.

Having not been there before i must say i am looking forward to the new terrain, any boarders care to comment? Many flat spots?

We skied Sauze this Easter, had a fab time. Our daughter took her board and used about it half the time we were there. Mainly because she likes to ski too but there were a few flat spots. Enjoyed it and would definitely go again.

Should have also added the area is huge, we did Sestriere, Sansicario and then over to Montgenevre. Our area lift passs included a day pass to Montgenevre. You can either ski over, about 1 1/2 hours if fairly quick or you can bus it.

Did you go over to Montgenevre? I have always been drawn to this resort but not really sure why.

We did but didn't spend as long as we would have liked. We skied over and being intermediates it took us a little while and we had to make sure we didn't miss all the lift connections back! We enjoyed the area very much though. We stayed at the Hotel Miravalle in Sauze, would recommend that too. -)

Mr Btp - you are not going to like this. Hate to bring bad news.

There is quite a lot of flat spots

When you come down the main run into the restaurants, centre of lifts etc it is quite flat (the skiing and boarding starts half way up the hill). From a skiers perspective it is fantastic - some nice wide runs that yoou can go flat out and and easily reach 50mph - bit flat at the bottom, but at that speed it does not matter. I saw alot of boarders doing their funny frog walk

It is marginally better over in Sestriere, but the lifts at the bottom are in one long line.

You need to do what i did with my GF - take up skiing!!! It is much more fun.

Boarding is a dying breed, the average age of a boarder is just below 30* - not really "RAD MAN" 8)

Not a fan of the gay-tray brigade. Some exceptions of course but mainly young blokes trying to be cool but mainly being complete flogs.
Sauze on the bucket list.
