Hi all. In anticipation of the new season and our plan to finally splash out on decent goggles does anyone have any recommendations as to good goggles for flat light? We are both severely short sighted and though corrected by contacts myself and hubby suffer more than seems to be normal in flat light. Any advice gratefully received. For info we are intermediate ( I am naturally more cautious). Thanks.

I have a pair with Transitions type lenses. In flat / low light they change to a very light red colour. Can't remember the brand name. I'll have to go and dig out the ski box for a look later.

Oakley do a Persimmon, HIgh Intensity Persimmon and High intensity Yellow specifically for loaw/flat light. Their website shows how it should look through the lens with photo's that represent the naked eye view an dthrough the lens view.

Takes a bit of finding but this link shoudl work

Then choose sport performance from the list in the middle of the screen and look atthe snow goggle range.

Basically, any yellow lenses or persimmon will work.

A friend last year had some cheap glasses from Screwfix with yellow lenses which were fantastic in the low light

Bought Smith I/OS last season and was really pleased ..they come with 2 lenses and don't steam up...I am not a goggles fan and have usually used glasses but couldn't have done without my Smiths last season (4 weeks of mainly poor weather)

I got a pair of Sinner Toxic goggles which are very good for the price. We had three days of almost no visibility in January and I could still see well.
