Getting tempted by some of the 2014 holiday offers around at the moment.... This years prices with more reductions plus free lift passes etc....
Does it still make more sense to wait for last min deal next march? Going in a group of six next march/April.
Advice appreciated!

Group of 6?

Book now if you can afford it. The offers late are all based on 1 room or last 2 seats on a flight.

Thanks - still mulling this over.
We had settled on first week of April as schools not out that early next easter but unis are... Then I realized what if it's not heavy snow that late like this year? Or is there guaranteed snow at high altitudes in some places even in April?
Alternative would be to go first week in jan but I have heard it can be serious cold then.....
What would you do given the choice?
Would like to book ASAP really.

Jan.....just wrap up. It's the cheapest month and often the quietest.

If you have a favourite resort/hotel/apartment/chalet book it now as you can be sure that with six of you it will be second or third choice if you leave it that late. Also, if you are booking your own flights you can already get dood deals with BA, and with the other airlines all coming on line for 2014 bookings within the next three months.

Flights for half-term aren't good though. Flew BA to Salzburg this year for half-term, a family of 4 was £800, just looked for next year and it quotes £2482.

Same flights 1 week earlier then family of 4 = £489

Looked at other airlines into Geneva, Munich etc.. same story.

If you are booking outside school term times great bargin flights, if you have to go school term times it means that driving could be the best option, so I think I will be Driving again next year!

Only possibility will be Easyjet when they release their schedule later in the year

Looked at package deals, same problem over £1000 per head without lift passes, ski's, lessons etc... This year did the lot for £3700, eating out every night and lunchtime, passes, lessons, car hire, flights.

Is there a set date for them to come on line - like a certain number of months prior to the flight date, or something? It would be nice to be able to catch them before prices start climbing.
Bant a ni!

BA, Swiss, Lufthansa all allow booking 355 days in advance so quite a few available now.

January Heathrow/Geneva return = £128
