Without disclosing my age I think it might be useful for many skiers to know that in La Plagne skiers 72 and over get a free lift pass. The only cost is an 8 euro registration card. Obviously this includes non skiers over 72 as well, in other words families with gran and grandad can also enjoy the gondolas and chair lifts for free. When you think that the average lift pass is now around 200 euros this is a massive saving. Also, the cost for the aeason is also FREE. I think that other resorts in France offer the same passes but all seem reluctant to advertise this pass.

Free lift passes used to come in when you got to 60 in lots of places but now the B*******s keep lifting the age just as I get close. This REALLY is not on as it means I have to keep going just to see if the eventually lift the age to 100. -)
Carving leaves me all on edge

I am not about to dream my life away by thinking of a free lift pass when I am 72 ...... I will just enjoy the next 15 years and pay the price. -)
