I was hoping for some advice regarding facial hair on the slopes. I was having too much fun to care about the dwindling temperature, piddling near the parking area close to the truck. When I packed up and went to leave, I realized my whole mustache and beard were frozen over. Sure, it was good for a laugh, but is there a way I can avoid it?
I realize it's the condensation from my breath getting caught in the hair. Is it better to ski clean shaven, or is there something I'd ought to know about?

I deliberately grow a beard in the week leading up to ski holidays as it keeps my chin warm!

I'm assuming you are a man El Taco? If you are a woman, one of your friends really needs to have a quiet word with you....

I find rinsing my beard in car anti-freeze is quite effective at preventing ice build up. Otherwise a small spray bottle of winter windshield/windscreen wash can be very handy for long runs.
because I'm so inclined .....
