We are going to Club Med in Cervinia in January. Does anyone know the nearest or most convenient ski hire shop to the hotel so we can book our skis in advance? I know Club Med hire skis but they are usually very overpriced so we usually go to a local shop.

Thanks.

The nearest ski hire shop to the Club Med hotel is Genzianella Sport next to the gondola lift, about half a mile away.

You'll have a gold membership with Club Med soon!
Let me know what its like in Cervinia when you get back, I keep considering it as an option.
You need to try the one in St Moritz!!!!

I thought that Club Med provided the ski hire or at least arranged it for you so you didnt have to worry.

Club Med in Tignes couple of seasons ago.....
Hired from shop next door and glad I did.

Club Med stuff very poor quality, limited range and very expensive - captive market!

Eh?

All inclusive means transport, accommodation, meals and lift pass.
Their website and brochure clearly states equipment hire and tuning is not included.

Ski hire is the only thing not included.

We go with children and considering everything else that is included it still works out cheaper than going skiing any other way. Though I don't think I'd be saying the same if we were heading fo the St Moriz hotel!

Really looking forward to Cervinia as Zermatt is just over the hill. And there is soooo much snow!!! :D

The link from Cervinia to Zermatt is often closed in January due to high winds. Keep an eye on the weather forecast http://www.zermatt.ch/en/page.cfm/service/Wetter/wetter_prognose? and the open lifts on the Zermatt side.
