I am seriously considering going along to this next year. Does anyone have any experience of it?
I quite fancy a week of race training.

I have just spoken to a lovely lady at Crystal that told me all about it and it sounds great.

Hmm, that does look interesting. Not too bad a price either considering the training and skipass included.

Yeah it is a pretty good price, they always are pretty keen.
For all the hiccups i have had this year with them i cannot ever dismiss them as they do offer great value.

I asked them about single travellers for this trip as i cannot see Mrs Snapzzz on the Super G. The price for this was only £35 more. Bargain.

So it was £1030 for.

7 nights in the Terra Nova, La Plagne, half board.
6-day lift pass
6-day equipment hire or ski carriage
5 days' ski race coaching with BSA and ski training with BASI
Competitive races, speed tests and giant slalom race
Event entertainment programme
150 euro hôtel crédit.

I think i am going!!!!
I may even get to race an olympian.

This is strange, because usually when they offer race coaching they make a disclaimer that a solid technique is required before moving into racing.

The words Crystal and Ski put me off....

Too many bad experiences.

Anything to do with racing usually involves a lot of hanging around waiting for something to happen.

The price doesn't seem to be much different from one of the pre season glacier training courses run by Snoworks, one of the UK based ski schools. If you went on one of those you could get some coaching from an Olympian and you would have a set of new skills to use on your Christmas holiday.
