Has anyone here been glacier skiing in Europe, if so what is it like?

You start early and finish by around 2pm. Here are some of my photos from Zermatt, taken on the glacier slopes.

Went to tiignes a few years ago. It was an early start and you had a window of a couple of hours when the snow was good. We did have fresh powder on the first of July. Probably wouldn't do it purely as a skiing holiday but mixing it in with some walks and mountin biking was good fun

We have had a few chances to summer ski up at Stelvio, but I could not get my lot interested

Skied a few summer glaciers, same story, early start, fairly icy, 3 hours good snow, then down and get the swimming gear on for an afternoon by the pool.
On the other hand, some of the best Euro skiing is on Cairngorm, just now........
