This dry slope was where I first put skis on (many years ago) and for the main building it to be destroyed by fire is quite sad :cry: . My son was due to do some down hill racing there, representing his school.

I hope they manage to rebuild as it did encourage youngsters.

The Snow & Rock shop was also destroyed by the fire

What a waste of all the skis etc. destroyed in the shop fire :cry:

Wood cores would have burned well.

This is a big shame for the ski club. I am always suspicious of these kind of events though.

High Wycombe's facility also burnt down, back in 2005. It has sat empty and derelict ever since.

A 'replacement' facility was given planning consent in 2008 for a 'real snow' indoor slope (120m), outdoor (300m) and ice skating. But doesn't look like it will ever go-ahead.

The site was recently put up for sale in January this year. Any takers?

if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.

they didn't have a pre-fire sale...
