I've been skiing for around 5 seasons, and every time I really struggle with fogging of OTG goggles, to the point of usually resorting to sunglasses which aren't up to the job either. I've read about various prescription inserts for Oakley/Adidas goggles, and also about some glasses which look to be a sunglasses/goggles hybrid which come with grand claims of "seeing is believing"! Anyone have any recommendations??

Hi,
About a week before we were due to go skiing at the beginning of April my son developed small ulcers on his eyes.
The optician was concerned he wouldn't be able to wear his contact lenses so we purchased some goggle inserts. They cost £35.00 and were not any particular make and looked like this -

He wasn't massively keen on wearing them but I think that once you are skiing people aren't going to notice them behind the goggles.
And if they're comfortable who cares?

He only needed to wear the once as 2 days before we went the optician said his eyes had healed and he could wear his lenses.
On the day he did use them though he found them to stay unfogged and comfortable
For us it was an affordable solution to OTG goggles which my brother wore and covered half of his face.
He didn't have any problems with fogging either though.

Much not help maybe, but I'm sure there are others who have a bit more to contribute.
Good luck.
Sorry if this isn't much use to yu

I've tried OTG goggles and to be honest if you are fogging on these then you may well fog with others with inserts too. For me its all about how the goggles fit around the nose as i find warm are from breathing does all the damage.

Contacts are the way to go. I only wear contacts while skiing now, and switch between my sunnies and goggles that fit properly.
Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

I've seen my OH "modify" his goggles with bits of tissue paper stuffed in the vents. Seems to work for him.
I can see my house from here...

Contacts are the way to go definitely, but sme people really cannot wear them.
