Can anyone recommend Flachau for expert skiing and what are the lifts and après ski like?
Any good recommendations for expert skiing in Austria would be gratefully received. We have done St Anton. It not anywhere in the ski Amade area.
Many thanks
Christine

I would say for the'truly expert' then it's a bit limited. There is the world cup run, but the bowl and the other runs are generally wide and very well groomed. Best skiing I think is the Flying Mozart and Red 8 going down to Wagrain, and then the other side of Wagrain, the Graffenburg. Also the High Liner (if open) is nice. It's well linked, the lift system is very modern and well run.
Apres is lively but not hectic, the bars at the lift stations are good at the end of the day.
