As grandparents looking to take 8 and 11 year old grandchildren on first skiing holiday after dry slope we like Livigno. However it must be in the school holidays which I think are late March. Is it likely there will be snow etc. in late March ? and do you agree it seemed very child friendly when we were there? Colin.

I have never skied Livigno during school holidays but it is spread out enough to swallow up people,
easy skiing, good prices and lovely people.
If you need further info please PM me and I'll try to advise

PS They Love kids, they are Italian

Colin,

Never been to Livigno, but have been skiing in Italy in late March and into April many times in the past. On some occasions, late season snow can make it fantastic. It just depends really on how lucky you are.

Generally, that time of year as the temperature rises, the afternoons are really heavy slush, and first thing in the morning can be quite icy. The 2/3 hours in between are generally really good though, and you get the added bonus of the warm sunshine :)
