First time to Austria

Hi everyone

My sister and I are looking to go to Austria in the first two weeks of January. Dates not fixed yet but it'll be for a week. Never been before!
We are both intermediate although she is definitely better than I am.
We would like recommendations for a ski to door self catering chalet in a resort that is quiet. We are not into a heavy night life but will want to go to restaurants for dinner and be able to shop locally for food etc.

I'd be really grateful for suggestions. I'm assuming all resorts will have great snow conditions at that time! :D
