Hi there,

A group of mixed snowboarders and skiers, about 6-8 of us, all of an intermediate standard. Just need help to find a suitable resort in france. we're looking for a place with decent snow around end of march time, with long runs, that vary in challenge.

We want a decent night life, to go out for drinks and a meal on an evening. We're also looking for somewhere reasonably priced, nothing too expensive.

Any more details, just give me a shout.

Thanks.

........does it HAVE to be France? You just described most of Austria.

Well some of us have been going to france for the last 10 years, been to places like samoens, Flaine, Tignes, Notre Dame De Bellecombe, Saint gervais, Valloire etc. It's all we really know.

The age range is 20 - 25, so a night life is important, and some really long chilled out runs.

Do you think Austria is more suited?

For your criteria, ability level and age group, Ischgl, St Anton or Mayrhofen may suit.

If it has to be France, I suggest ADH or Serre Chevalier.
Otherwise, I'd recommend looking at Bandit's suggestions. Having been to St Anton and Mayrhofen, both are great resorts. Hof is better priced generally, but St Anton has better skiing. Not so good maybe for boarders where Hof is a great place for the gays on trays.
Val d'Isere would be an idea, but its pricey in resort and on the slopes.

......except that the sun badly affects the slopes in ADH so you might struggle late season if its been warm and sunny, as it often the case. But I guess thats one of the risks going late in the season.
