Hi

Does anyone know of any longer-range forecasts available on the web - esp for the French Alps? Most I see are for between 2 and 7 days - I was wondering if there were any "the month ahead" type forecasts, obviously they wouldn't able to predict accurately what would fall when, but they might be able to give a heads up as to whether the situation will be better through March than it has been in Feb - especially around Chamonix :-)

thanks
steve

Weather patterns can change quickly so a long term weather report is not worth the paper it is printed on.

Hi,

Try having a look on the Accuweather.com ( Uk & European ) site, and in particular the European forecast by meteorologist Joe Bastardi ( yes thats his real name )...this guy has predicted the snowy weather way back at about the beginning of last year.

The site may not give a resort by resort forecast but there may be a search facility, but it will give you the forecast for the wider area.

Along with Piers Corbyn, Joe Bastardi is the chap none of the news people will interview about the AGW debate, as he says " I just present the facts, and as people's lives and livelyhoods depend on the accuracy of my forecasts.....if I couldn't predict the weather accurately I would be out of a job"......which seems pretty fair.

Jon I'm certain that I read recently that Joe Bastardi is no longer working for Accuweather, I've no idea why.

Hi Bandit,

Wow didn't know that....will have to check, he's probably been knobbled by the globalwarmalists, he does seem to have kept them on their toes the last couple of years by out predicting their climate change computer models ( I think he has soemthing like a 80% - 85% success rate on medium to long range forecasts ).

Thanks for th heads up I will look into it .

Hi,

Yep your correct Joe Bastardi resigned from accuweather...

Seems the shills are already putting the knives into him, I have been following him for some years now and find him to be pretty spot on more times than not, I suppose if he's been leant on there are many mega rich , mega powerful vested inetersts....

....on the other hand he may well have just though....sod it , been doing this for 32 years, I fancy a break.
