Dolomites - where to ski?
Started by User in Italy, 7 Replies
I stayed at Selva for a few days two years ago. The scenery is gorgeous. The Sella Ronda circuit is fun for its sense of traveling around, but is not super challenging in terms of skiing. Arabba is the best on the circuit; quite good but not a true hard core spot. To get there you can take the train to Belluno and a bus from there to Arabba - see www.dolomitibus.it
Arabba / Dolomites VS. Algna / Monte Rosa

The Dolomites are pretty, and the Sella Ronda is fun for its sense of travel, but the skiing on the Sella Ronda is not super challenging. Arabba is defintely the best on the circuit, and has good sightseeing and pretty good skiing but there aren't an abundance of hard core spots there.
