Blimey mate, you sleep outside???

...but, yes, a few cm in the Kent hills this morning too. Not enough to ski the hill over the road (would have to slalom round the sheep) but very picturesque...

I think we can assume from the silence that he's on a chairlift!

The La Clusaz WebCams are showing a lot more snow than yesterday - and the cam on l'Aiguille looks like a white-out right now!

When are you off there?

Snow in Madonna Di Campiglio?

Snow Report for Madonna di Campiglio is certainly improving with a good pasting forecast for tomorrow...

Anyone there this week is gonna have a blast, with blue skies forecast for much of the rest of the week. After that, it's too far out to say for sure but there is a hint of temperatures going back up again next week...

ski injury - recovery tips

See a good physio (a sports specialist, or even better a winter sports specialist if you can find one) as soon as you can. Actually, do it right now if you haven't already.

My wife tore a medial ligament quite badly (not as nasty as a bad ACL injury, but still bad news) on a dry slope a couple of years ago. NHS wanted her to wait 3 months plus to see a physio (how dumb is that?) so we went private and she started treatment next day. Massage, ultrasound and manipulation to ensure swift and (most importantly) flexible healing.

She was skiing six weeks later with no probs at all.

You can be rebuilt! But don't wait for treatment if you have any choice at all.

If it does count you out for this season, then plan some training to build up your leg muscles once the injury has repaired - which will protect you in future. The snows will come again! 8)

It's coming... hold tight...

Snowing in Andorra (at last); check this page of web cam shots from the Grandvalira site.

Snow also reported from various points across the Southern Alps so far, with the main falls expected to start overnight and continue tomorrow. Exact quantities are still a mystery... but all will be revealed...

How cold??????

If you look at the temperatures across the different models in this post here they are quite divergent but still around -15C in Geneva at the end of next week...

...so, yeah, take yer thermals!

It does happen - we were in Verbier season before last when it was below -20C for several days. The snow kept well but you really didn't want to be out there.
Snow in Serre Chavalier - Feb07

Hi Renato, don't panic (yet) - it looks like much lower temperatures next week with at least a little snow and the potential for more. Can't say for sure, but you have got a couple of weeks to go yet.

As recommended in another current thread - you've got the option of Les Deux Alpes not far away (if you have a car?) if it's really bad, but keep your fingers crossed!
