Bansko is a small and value for money resort - you could easily keep under budget here, especially if you visit in January when the prices are very competitive. There is an excellent boarding school here too that I can reccommend - Method Snow School.

Bansko in Bulgaria opened on the 1st December. The lower runs aren't open but the top pistes are lovely.
