Hi,

Have a look at the French Pyrenees for a cheaper and family oreinted holiday. We run a catered chalet just 100m from the pistes (and lifts and ski school), in the resort of Cambre D'Aze. We have looked after lots of beginner and mixed ability families in the 5 years we have been here so can assure you of a formula that works.

The Pyrenees are much cheaper all round - vastly reduced prices for lift passes, cheap ski/boot hire and much cheaper pizzas etc at lunchtime (cheaper beer too!)

Ryanair and bmibaby fly to Perpignan where we collect you for the short transfer of approx 75 mins - so not too boring for the children.

Our prices include airport transfers, bed, breakfast, afternoon tea, aperatifs and four course evening meal with wine. We usually serve the children a slightly earlier 2 curse evening meal.

Our chalet is family friendly - we have a 9 yr old daughter and the resort is superb for beginners with less stress etc in lift queues) in fact there are very rarely lift queues) There are also plenty of interesting challenging runs for more experienced skiers. We also offer free transort to other local resorts so you can try out some other challenges and can ski with you on several days if required.

Have a look at our website for more details of what we offer and where we are on www.pyrenees-ski-experience.com

HI Sally,

We can offer you accommodationn at our catered ski chalet in December.

The Pyrenees hosts the hundreds of Spanish who have a major public holiday at the beginning of December so all the resorts do their utmost to open early. Resorts here usually open for the first weekend of December so you should have plenty of opportunity to try out more than one of our great resorts.

For more info on where we are and what we offer check our website on www.pyrenees-ski-experience.com or you can call or email

HI Bryan,

We travelled to Geilo from Torp last spring on a snowkite trip and hired a car from Norway Direct via internet. It was much cheaper than other deals - though you don't get a plush brand new car! - but efficient and easy to deal with.

Alternatively I believe you can get a train though you may have to travel to Oslo first.

Good luck and good skiing

Hiya,

All our local resorts open for the first weekend of December (Spanish holiday) so the week before Xmas is pretty much guaranteed.

All resorts have excellent snowmaking facilities so even if there is not too much of the real white stuff you will still be able to ski/board.

We have availability in our catered chalet just 100m from the pistes.

Check our website on www.pyrenees-ski-experience.com for more details on where we are and what we offer.

Hi Stephen,

For a much more pleasant introduction to skiing look towards the Pyrenees. Here there is a totally different attitude to skiing - no pushing and barging in lift queues - in fact no lift queues (apart from 2 weeks in Feb)

We can arrange your holiday for you offering a very simple package of airport transfers and catered accommodation. We can help with lift passes, lessons and ski hire etc - if you want. Prices are much cheaper than the alps ( and that includes beer!!!)

Check our site for more info on www.pyrenees-ski-experience.com or you can call or email for a quote.

Our prices include airport transfers from Perpignan (Ryanair or bmibaby), bed, breakfast, afternoon tea and four course evening meal with aperatif and wine.
