Hi all, Me and a few mates fancy going back to Austria and having a laugh like we did when we were in our 20's - now in 40's.

We love the tree lined runs in Austria and the mountain cabins for a beer or two. Apres good fun but not mad now, so more likely have the 3pm -4pm session and finish at 8-9 then chill sauna etc...

Was looking at St. Anton or Mayrhofen / Kitz as remember good times there.

Anyone got any ideas on where and accommodation? 8)
I'm booking for a mixed group, 3 couples with young kids.

Have found two offers with LDA being the more expensive.
I have been to LDA and had a good time.

ADH looks good also but not been there. I know it's a high resort but in ski mags, says can suffer in late season from too much sunshine.

Can anyone give me a view if you have been to both and which one is the better resort?

cheers :P

I'm trying to book a hol for three couples with kids. 2nd week of April - 8th
The choice is down to Les Deux Alpes or Alpe d'huez. Morzine was in there until recently but the weather doesn't look great there ( although has the best hotel on offer).

The weather looks ok for now and maybe some more snow for sure by then.

I've been to LDA and it was ok, but it is more expensive the ADH.

Can anyone say which resort is the best for a mixed group with kids?

Cheers :P
This year, going 14-17th December, we've booked to go to two airports with the idea to choose which destination has the best snow conditions and choose that airport to fly to and loose the other as we got them so cheap.

If Austria, where's the best place to go that early for good condictions but also good night life? Going to Geneva, likewise?

Prefer Austria because the nightlife is usually more vibrant and because the French resorts seem to 'go to bed early' and don't offten have a 'centre' where you all meet up after a hard days' skiing. But if you know a Franch resort that doesn't......?

Any thoughts or suggestions!?
