Stiffer, lighter than my old Sollys and much tighter fitting at the heel. Took about 15 min. Looks like I'll be able to hit the slopes tomorrow straight off the train.
Including heat moulding the liner and shell, and a custom footbed...15 minutes...strewth  ????
Good luck with your weekend breaking them in :D
:)Of course not. This I decided to leave for next season. I have custom footbeds from my old boots but even those stayed at home. I had first to test my new boots so that I knew what kind of adjustments they needed - I don't believe in all this custom fitting when you don't know exactly how they feel on your feet straight from the shop. As for breaking them in - they were real heroes this weekend in
Zermatt. 3 hours skiing on Friday, 5 on Saturday and on Sunday after skiing all day in knee-deep powder (and this is ON the slopes) I also managed to apres-ski in them till almost 10pm, walked home and was on slopes by 9.30 yesterday with my feet and legs feeling no ill effects whatsoever. I'll mould them in December for a slightly tighter fit but overall they felt as if they were made for my feet. I guess I am lucky. :D
