:D

I can now finally report that my entire group of 9 skiing buddies are ALL wearing lids.

We had just two die-hards left at the start of this holiday, but a combination of very cold weather, and being in a gondola with 50 odd people, where they were the only ones not wearing helmets finally pushed them over the hill.

I was quite surprised myself, I would estimate that over 95% of people on the mountains in Kitzbuhel were wearing lids.

On the subject.....i must admit i do not like mine, it makes my head look huge.
I am looking at the POC helmets for next season, they seem to be a little more tailored.

Maybe they were wearing lids because they thought the lift would crash?

I always thought that gondolas were those six seaters & that the 50 capacity thingys were called cable cars )

If I am right about the gondola capacity then these really must be very odd people :D

If all the others in the lift were wearing bobbles would you have got rid of the helmet, if I ever felt the need to wear a helmet it would def not be because others were wearing them, seems daft to me

I bought a helmet this winter after years of the bobble...i bought it after watching a mate crack his head open after a nasty collision.. anyway, i was surprised at how comfy it was, proper light weight...i got cracked a few times by idiots swinging their skis on their shoulders so it prob saved a few cuts an bruises....best £38 ive ever spent!!
