Fun! I had a target shooting friend that took great delight in turning up on a range with kit 20 years out of date. The locals used to take the mickey or offer patronising advice. Right up until he shot rings round them!

Fantastic! That happened between me, (me & my boots are approaching our silver wedding!), and another J2skier. He hasn't stopped slagging off Niederau since!

Dave,
Are you saying you skied rings around the other J2Skier?

Will you and your boots be celebrating the forthcoming anniversary?

Nope, you cannot ski rings..... No, when I met the J2skier, I really liked him, and we did a run down together. I had rather a long wait at the bottom, but that is no issue, I am not one for capability comparisons. One persons easy is another persons difficult. However, he subsequently seemed to develop other issues, calling the area that he skied quite slowly, as "good for beginners"! It's no big deal.

It will be difficult to celebrate the silver wedding with the boots, because I bought them one June, in the well known ski resort of Poynton! perhaps I will bring the anniversary forwards a few months, when we will cover Austria/New Zealand / Australia /Austria!

What a great question!

Most beginner men skiers go for the "performance" ski! More for the status than for ski!

Beginners should be on beginner skis since they will be more "forgiving" than those racers! here we are not talking about morals,,,,but ski survival!

Yes it is like learning to drive with a Porsche turbo!
