Where were you pricing the Harfenwirt and Enzian Dave?

Hi SkiGirl, I'm just looking at this for you now. Taking into account the date you've just given, the deal looks to be 'so so' to me.

For the same week the Harfenwirt (which is across the road from lift) is £567, so add around £210 for lift pass and skis and it comes to £777. This is without any discounts on the holiday price that you may get from waiting for the Feb deals to come out. At the moment that's an extra £30, in exchange for staying across the road from the slopes, as opposed to a 5 minute walk away.

I'm also not sure what Ingham's mean by 'local lift pass' which is included in that deal. Just had a quick chat with MrEvs about it. I didn't think you could get a pass which excludes the wider (Oberau and Auffach) area, but he thinks he can remember the rep offering us a restricted one the first time we went. If the deal includes a restricted pass then this would be of a lower value than the one I've used for the above comparison.
I wish I could meet the person who first decided to strap 2 planks to their feet and throw themselves down a mountain

Hi EmmaEvs

Thanks for looking for me, I've been doing the same for the last hr. We can't really wait and book at couple of weeks before we go because my hubby has to book his leave at least 6 weeks in advance. The cheapest I could get was Pension Enzian using Skiset for skiis but even that's only about £60 cheaper than the Sonnschein deal.

We've nearly always booked N through Inghams and it's always been the lift pass that includes Auffach but you have to book this all inclusive hol over the phone so I can check then anyway.

I am paying £594 for 7 nights in the 3* Schneeberger HB, price includes return flights, hotel, transfers and lift pass and I thought this was reasonable, the only problem is getting spending money together but will be taking my bank card so should be fine as i can get money out from the cashpoint up the road from the hotel near the Adeg supermarket.

Even though the Harfenwirt is on 30 metres from the slopes, it is only one slope at the far end of the resort and would require a 10/15 minute walk or a few stops on the postbus to get to the main centre of the resort where the machbachjoch gondola is, along with the main 3 nursery slopes.
See you on the piste!!!

I decided to have a life change and be more spontaneous. Starting tomorrow.

True but surely it would be better to stay in the centre of the resort, not much going on in the harfenwirt of an evening and most apres-ski is in the middle of the resort, but it would be ok if you don't mind the stroll....
See you on the piste!!!
