sounds s bit strange, i can understand the inner and outer ones being different as all the boots in that range have a fixed inner rivet, which will be different for the ones on the outer edge of the boot

it may just be a stick a large flat screw driver in and rotate carefully, but it is one range of boots that i have very little info on the modern ones

Thanks again everyone.

here are some further pics that will give you a better understanding.

As you can see the two boots are set differently and by the centre pic you can see that only the outside is adjustable.

The nature of the bumps on the adjustment knob gives me a feeling that you simply turn it but it won't turn easily. My guess is that you really have to force it but i am worried it will break.
Do you think i should turn clockwise or Anti? Does this really matter? Will it simply rotate continually through the possible settings before returning back to the start no matter what direction the turn is made?

Thanks again.

And a larger image of the adjuster.

I think it's as cem says. You need to find something that can be used to rotate that disc.

If as you start to turn it, you have a finger tip touching both cuff, and shell, you'll feel the movement before you can see it.

Bandit,

No they are slightly different but look almost the same.
The liners are different (no fur, no thermo fit).

My guess is that the boot in the first photo, with the flat edge up is in the neutral position. It helps sometimes with those cam adjusters, to be pulling the cuff in the direction you want it to move. It just assist the cam a bit.

Well, i gave up. I don't think that they can be adjusted although they look like they should be.
I went back to the store and checked out all the other boots left on the shelf and they were all set the same, so i guess that this is just normal.

Thanks for all the input everyone.

Looking at the photos, there appears to be the same distance between the bottom of the cuff, and that ridge on heel of the shell. If that's the case, then I would guess that there is no adjustment.
