Hi Dave
Can't imagine anyone was thinking you were holding anything other than a digi!!!!
Manchester is our nearest airport, I know they go to Innsbruck or Salzburg had not looked at trying to fly anywhere other than.
What plan of action would you suggest?
Where are your skis bound for on the 26th?
Kind regards
Jane

Another option would be to stay in Brixen im Thale & use the eight man lift to the top of the Choralpe gaining easy access to Westendorf ski area.

Hi Finn
I couldn't find anything there either 26th or 28th Dec, that's when my brain got mashed and turned to youtube for a break.
Have also tried Hopfgarten, there are two hotels available but the prices are very high and over budget.
Thanks for your suggestion though.
Kind regards
Jane

Quick search of flights Manchester to Munich with Luftansa on the 27th Dec return 3rd Jan £96. Pretty good flight times too.

That's a good shout, Finn, provided that the 8 man drops you off on blue runs.
Jane, we are staying HB in a farmhouse in the hills above Scheffau. You could have accessed all 4 videos by clicking my www.
Plan. 3 issues, flight/transfer/accomodation.
Transfer is easy, train to Kufstein, Then taxi to Westendorf.
You can get a direct info on flights. Lufthansa do Manchester/Munich.
Accomodation will be the most difficult, so you can go through the Schiwelt tourist office website, or the westendorf one.

Hi Dave & Finn
Lots there for me to look up again today.
Time is essence and still may have to go to Niederau
During search Westendorf etc, missed 2 twin rooms at Sonnschein on offer (with FREE bus to Hopfgarten), for the 4 of us to same now extra £300!! So in the doghouse.
Found Simmerlwirt and Schneeberger, latter £303 cheaper.
Can't find any mention of Schneeberger on forum?
Kind regards

Schneebergers is good, it's just at the start of the road down to Oberau, 100m from the lift

Best Niederau location for you might be the Hotel Harfenwirt. It is on the bus route, straight across the road from a beginner poma, good for easing yourself back into it.
It is a sister hotel to the Sonnschein, and so would have the same free bus. If I recall correctly, the bus is sponsored by the Schiwelt lift company.
