8) What boots did you get :D

I'd heard that the V.B. arete has been made up early, because of the good snowfall. Still be advisable to consult a mountain guide though, as there is a whole lot more that could seriously spoil your day up there.

bandit,

Yeh, Tim said (my mate on his season) said that it's looking really good for when I arrive, I'll definately get a guide if we were to do it.

I ended up with some serious boots, Head Raptor Ltd RS. I have really thin feet apparently but with a bit of volume. I said to him "They feel slightly loose in the width" (before footbeds). He replied with "It's those or some race boots?"... "I'll take these!". He said that they will take a bit of getting used to as they are high flex, which I wont be used to, but to progress he said they are forgiving enough.

Taken them for a spin down Chilfactore a couple of times and they feel unbelievable, honestly didnt think it would be as obvious!

Nice boots 8) So much more fun when you can steer your skis as if they are attached to your feet :D

Chamonix is a great resort - i can almost guarantee that you will go back again and again after this trip!! Loads of challenging pisted runs, but the backcountry off piste is out of this world when the conditions are right.

In terms of nightlife, very lively if thats what you are looking for. Check out Le Pub on the main street.

Have fun.
