Just worried 1st time taking my wife and son, taken my daughter before on package deals. She doesn't really want to go so i need to make sure everything goes perfect so she goes again or i will never live it down if she has no lessons.
I will keep on checking and book nearer the time, is it the same for booking the nuursery? booking times etc

French side should be fine. Do check the prices both sides though. Recently French side has been around £50 per week cheaper. If your flight arrives on the Swiss side you will need to enter the French sector of the airport.
If you get a French Hire Car, you won't get Winter Tyres, a set of chains, or a Swiss Motorways Vignette in the package.
It is possible to reach GVA airport without going on Swiss Motorways, but if you go through the Bardonnex Swiss Border Post, you will get charged for a Vignette!!! 40CHF, non removable sticker.

Wickers, the Border Guards have encountered all the tricks ) Quite often, they will stick it on your windscreen for you :D Failure to display, or failure to attach permanently is about 200Sfr fine I think, plus the cost of the Vignette natch )

They carry guns and have no sense of humour

Thats the only reason I do it because they are so grumpy and intimadating, I think they need to teach the swiss border police a few manners and a course in customer service !!!!!!
