It depends what your idea of an advanced skier is, if it's looking for challenging pistes then it's probably a fair comment that Les Arcs has more terrain on offer. If you think it's steep and deep there's actually not a lot in it, La Plagne has some cracking terrain including the North Face of Bellecote.

A lot of this is in the book "Les Clés De Paradiski - Les Plus Beaux Hors - Pistes" by Didier Givois which like most books of that sort is blamed for various accidents :D

As I recall we skied this line :

There are definitely points on that run where I would not like to fall

p.s Ise, the snowslider site is cool, I hadn't really checked out anything but photos until this afternoon when I realised I had an assignment due and inevitably had to put if off for as long as possible

thanks for all the advice, i wasnt suggesting that la plagne was a hidden gem-just that the offpiste was under-rated but i may be wrong!
There is no way a full area pass is needed for 3 of our group but i think we will all go for the discovery and maybe on the last day all try and get across!
Cheers

I'd give it shot )

Ah, La Plagne, if I had not gone there for New Year (with the ambition of being drunk for a week) to catch up with old school buddies in 2007 I probably would never have learnt to snowboard :!:
