This story is so sad. My cousin is married to Liam and Natashas niece so I feel for them too, she has lost am amazing aunty.

I think this will certaily highlight the helmet issue and they could even become compulsory in the near future.

Sad day.

It’s so sad when tragedies like this happen; it just goes to show how easily life changing and as in this case fatal injuries can be suffered.

I just hope that this will encourage more people to wear helmets on the slopes.

More and more adults are wearing helmets these days,i borrowed my sons a year ago (he boards) only to listen to my Ipod through his inbuilt headphones. I have since bought my own and so has my better half.

Call me stupid, but it has not changed my opinion on helmets or wearing ipods when skiing :evil:

itis very sad but i will probably get shot down for this but i am a firm believer in if your time is up it's up and no matter where you are, what you are doing,or what you are wearing when the bell tolls your gone.
yes measures can be taken to prevent injuries but alas we cant stop time ending. :(
