Don't know about cool, looks hot to me )
Have they brought in this rule? is this correct?
karen
I'm fairly certain it's not correct, there's been an amount of public debate and public opinion apparently does favour a law but it's only a proposal at this time. It's related to a widely publicised accident involving a German politician I think.

There are loads of ski shops of course and not far from the apartment is a discount store - I can't find them online but wil post the link when I have the info.
Going to Gosau/Russbach in the Dachstein West and of course try the smaller area of Postalm for a couple of days first to get lessons.
Thanks all for your help

I luckily bought a helmet before I went away this year (Giro G10). I had a bad fall and my head took a lot of the impact. I'm certain that if I wasn't wearing it I would have been needing hospital treatment rather than the course of painkillers which I'm taking.
So much so, that my wife who was adamant she didn't want a lid, shot off to the hire shop and hired one for herself.

On the ski club of Great Britain a couple of weeks ago there was an article saying that a helmet law for under 14s in Austria had been pushed through following the death of a skier
I can't find it on there now though :?: - so perhaps an error...
I found this article though
